Church ministers with scrapbook group

ELLINWOOD - The Memory Makers scrapbooking group will host a two-day scrapping event beginning today at noon at First Baptist Church, located at 503 A SE 110 Ave. in rural Ellinwood. The event will continue today until midnight and will resume at 9 a.m. Saturday, continuing to 9 p.m. Admission is free, but participants are asked to bring a snack to share, said Pam Hendricks with the church. No reservation is needed.

Timothy Joseph Miller, 72, died June 7 in Great Bend, following a brief struggle with cancer. He was born Jan. 24, 1940, at El Dorado, the son of Cyril W. "Cy" and Frances Cecelia (Muth) Miller. He was a 1957 graduate of Great Bend High School. He married Marilyn Fern Betts at Great Bend. They later divorced. He married Loretta K. Bradshaw on May 25, 1985, at Eureka Springs, Ark. Lessons from Paris

After the tragic shooting at a provocative magazine in Paris last week, I pointed out that given the foreign policy positions of France we must consider blowback as a factor.
