Mike and Shawndra Harbaugh of Great Bend announce the birth of their daughter, Sidney Marie Harbaugh on Feb. 8. She weighed 5 lbs. 14 oz. and was 18 1/2 in. long. She is welcomed by her two big brothers, Michael and Kylar.

Earl and Janice Schmidt will celebrate their 65th anniversary with a reception from 1:30 to 4 p.m. on March 30 at the First United Methodist Church, 2123 Forest, in Great Bend. Hosts for the event will be their children, Mike and Janet Schmidt of Cornelius, Ore., Dennis and Terrie Schmidt of Athens, Texas and Brenda Girard of Hays. The couple has eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
