Correction: Great Bend Municipal Court

The Great Bend Municipal Court report published in Friday's Great Bend Tribune contained an omission which resulted in errors. In the month of October, Cory Vandergrift was convicted of fail to yield at a stop sign and fined $111. The story also omitted the name Jasmine Lucero Velasco, which was next on the alphabetized list. Additional offenses attributed to Vandergrift in the report should actually have been listed for Velsaco: driving while suspeneded/revoked, no driver's license in possession and speeding 15 mph over. She was fined $406.

Blanche Margaret Pfannenstiel 1916 - 2012

NESS CITY - Blanche Margaret Pfannenstiel, 96, died Nov. 8, at her home in the Blue Valley Lutheran Nursing Home, Hebron, Neb. She was born Oct. 21, 1916, the daughter of Hugh and Ethel Phleger Corrigan. On May 16, 1985, she married Adolf P. Pfannenstiel in Ness City. He preceded her in death on Jan. 13, 1985. She was a homemaker and a lifetime resident of Ness County until she moved to Hebron in 2010.

​JoAnn Cameron 1925 - 2012

JoAnn Cameron, 87, died Nov. 10 at Great Bend Regional Hospital. She was born Sept. 5, 1925, at Tonkawa, Okla., the daughter of William David and Olive DeLyte (McNeil) Rowe. She married Fred Lorn Cameron on Dec. 25, 1943, at Dodge City. He died June 22, 1987. JoAnn was a Great Bend resident since 1962, coming from Ponca City, Okla. She was a Nurse's Aide and lab tech for St. Rose Hospital and CKMC. She also worked for Great Bend Music. She enjoyed playing the organ during the holiday season at JC Penney.

Blazers place second

The Barton Blazers took second place in the Shawnee Mission/Overland Park Premiere basketball tournament. The Blazers defeated the Reno County Elite, Beastmode, Bobcats, and CNBA. They lost in the championship game to Missouri Flight. The Blazers will be playing at home this coming weekend in the Great Bend MAYB tourney. Players include, Brock Skelton, Evan Campbell, Nick Wondra, Chance Sanger, Ray Kuhlman, Connor Griffith, Sam Ryan, and JJ Heredia.
