HOISINGTON - Bonnie Lou Deitsch, 69, died Jan. 3, 2012, at Via Christi St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita. Born Feb. 7, 1942, in Wilsonville, Neb., she was the daughter of Earl and Evelyn (Martin) Kinne, the second of 11 children. On April 7, 1980, she married Lloyd Deitsch Jr. in Beaver City, Neb. A resident of Hoisington since 2003, coming from Great Bend, she was a homemaker, and a CNA, working at various hospitals and nursing homes, and a child provider for the state of Nebraska. She loved to quilt, specializing in baby blankets.
OMAHA, NEB. - Margaret Dollard Tilton, 89, died Jan. 3, 2012, at St. Joseph Villa in Omaha, Neb. Arrangements are pending with Morell Funeral Home in Larned.
Robert "Bob" Shanks, 69, died Jan. 3, 2012, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center in Hutchinson. He was born Aug. 7, 1942, at Kansas City, Mo., the son of Robert and Constance Isabelle (Gaunt) Caraway. He married Lorraine Andrasek July 21, 1962, at Great Bend. A lifetime Great Bend resident, he was a truck driver, carpenter and meat cutter.
ROZEL - Grace Olive Grandy, 90, passed away Jan. 2, 2012, at the Country Place Living Center, Larned. She was born Sept. 20, 1921, in Rozel, the daughter of Louie and Ora Renfro Pfenninger. A lifetime area resident; she was a homemaker. Her family and church were first and foremost in her life.
