Kathleen Kimpler, 85, died Nov. 15 at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born July 8, 1926 in Ellinwood, she was the daughter of George Peter and Mary Ann (Kramer) Kimpler. A resident of Great bend since 1975, coming from Ellinwood, she was a principal and teacher in the Wichita and Dodge City Diocese Catholic Schools for 34 years.

LARNED - Jordaan Memorial Library will be closed part of next week. The boiler is being replaced and the library has been without heat for the last week and a half. The building has gotten progressively colder. The library will reopen when the boiler has been replaced.

HOLLYWOOD - God bless America, and how's everybody?
Over the last several months, we've heard much about partisan politics. Regardless of what each of us believe or how we vote, it should be obvious that party is running above principle more so than at any other time in modern history.
The Great Bend Black Panthers played their best football in the second half of the season. Coaches usually say "our goal is to get better every game." Coach Tony Crough's team did that.
This week's Chamber of Commerce Coffee will be hosted by Moeder Oil Company , 2302 Railroad Ave., at 9:30 a.m., today. Host will be Eric Gotsche with greeters Cindy Parr and Marty Steinert. Coffee, refreshments and door prizes will be available.
ALBERT - Paul J. Andree, 90, died on Nov. 2, 2014. He was a retired USD 259 coach and administrator.
