Two people sustained possible injury in a four-wheeler accident at 318 Cottonwood Drive, about 1:35 p.m. Sunday.
Great Bend Regional Hospital will host a Lab Fair Dec. 6 and 9 from 6-7:30 a.m. in the east entrance foyer of the hospital, located at 514 Cleveland St.

BURDETT - Fern I. Rodebaugh, 91, died Nov. 28 in Derby. Arrangements are pending with Morell Funeral Home in Larned.
William D. Witcraft, 87, of Great Bend, died Nov. 26 at Great Bend Regional Hospital. Born April 21, 1924, in Fairfax, Okla., he was the son of Chauncey and Mattie Smith Witcraft. He married Marian McAfee. They later divorced. He then married Betty Schiewe. She died in July of 2009. A long-time resident of Barton County, he was a retired oilfield perforator. He enjoyed playing golf.
All classes at Barton Community College have been canceled due to a power outage, Monday.
As we celebrate Thanksgiving, it's appropriate to consider all we have to be thankful for, even during these difficult times. All of us need to remember and thank our ancestors for having the courage to immigrant to this country and later spread out and settle from coast to coast since we are a nation of immigrants. USD 428 Board of Education will meet at noon on Thursday at Great Bend High School, 2027 Morton. Items on the agenda include, policy development relating to fundraising practices in the district and presentation of any offers received on the Shady Grove property. Disabled American Veterans Chapter 27, Great Bend will be holding their annaul Christmas Dinner, instead of their monthly meeting, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Dec. 2 at the Great Bend American Legion Post 180, 1011 Kansas Ave., northeast conferance room.

Great Bend Middle School Wrestlers traveled to Salina for a duel tournament on Saturday. "I'm very proud of our team. These guys sacrifice a lot just to participate in wrestling. The fact is this group gave up a Saturday to work their tails off and achieve something pretty special." commented Panthers Coach Norbert Muth. Ten teams attended the tournament. The teams were split into two pools and the winner of each pool would wrestle for the championship. Daniel Nobles, 88, died Dec. 7 at Life Care Center, Wichita. Services are pending with Bryant Funeral Home, 1425 Patton Road, Great Bend, Kansas.
Karl Lee Brack, 84, died Dec. 7, at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born Nov. 29, 1930, in Larned, he was the son of Sol M. and Neva M. (Toots) Brack. He was a 1948 graduate of Great Bend High School and received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Kansas State University in 1953. On Sept. 28, 1958, he married Loreta J. "Reta" Hill in Hoisington. A lifetime resident of Great Bend, Mr. Brack began work at KCKT-TV as a sales representative until February 1956, when he started work for American State Bank and Bank IV, retiring in 1991 ...
