Larry W. Jimison, 66, died on Oct. 21 at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson. He was born Oct. 27, 1944 at Stafford, the son of Howard David and Verda Marie (Staley) Jimison.
William, J. Flory, 92, passed away Friday at the Victoria Falls Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Andover. Graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Highland Cemetery of Medicine Lodge.
Ethel Marie Dyer, 96, of Great Bend, passed away on Thursday morning, Oct. 20, at the Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center in Great Bend. Ethel was born on Jan. 5, 1915 in Russell, to Emanuel and Elizabeth Milberger. She was a graduate of Russell High School. She was the clerk of the District Court for Barton County for many years, and later worked for Morrison Insurance Agency in Great Bend. She loved animals, particularly dogs.
Alberta G. Delgado, 87, died on Oct. 20 at Kansas Heart Hospital, Wichita. She was born April 23, 1924 at Hoisington, the daughter of Vincent and Alejandra (Gonsalez) Gutierrez.

Children of Barton County living with cancer will benefit from a new fundraiser hosted by Kans for Kids Fighting Cancer Foundation. The organization has announced that a Shrimp Boil will be held on Saturday, Nov. 5 at the Hoisington Knights of Columbus Hall. A frustrating season for the Barton Community College volleyball team came to an end Sunday in the opening round of the Region VI Championships. Barton's season ended with a 24-26, 25-18, 25-16, 25-15 loss to Colby at the Sports Arena in Hutchinson.

A special meeting has been set for 12:15 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, in the Administrative Building's Conference Room, A-113, so that Dean of Administration Mark Dean can present these bids.
