9.12 Tea Party meeting

The 9.12 Tea Party's monthly meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday at the Kansas Oil and Gas Museum, 5944 West Tenth St. in Great Bend. Election analysis by Dick Friedeman, and John Edmunds will preview the 2013 Kansas Legislative Session. The meeting is open to the public and admission is free.

​Library will show ‘Spider-man 2’

The Great Bend Public Library, 1409 Williams St., will show "Spider-man 2" at the next Teen Movie Monday, at 4 p.m. on Nov. 12. On Nov. 19 it will show "Spider-man 3." The movies are free to students in grades 7-12.

Sterling House of Great Bend, 1206 Patton Road, will serve lunch to veterans and their spouses at noon Saturday, Nov. 10. There will be no charge for the meal. The event will include a flag raising, old time band and information for veterans.
