A Resolution authorizing Pawnee County Kansas to enter into a lease with the Pawnee County Kansas Public Building Commission; authorizing Pawnee County Kansas to enter into a sublease with Pawnee Valley Community Hospital, Inc.; and authorizing the execution there of and certain related documents in connection with the issuance by the Pawnee County, Kansas Public Building Commission of its hospital revenue bonds series 2011 (Pawnee Valley Community Hospital Project).

HOISINGTON - Clara Barton Hospital announced that Rebecca Mauler, radiologic technologist, recently earned national credentials in ultrasound. Mauler earned credentials from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). She is a graduate of Fort Hays State University, where she earned her bachelor's degree in Radiology in 2009.

HOISINGTON Hoisington High School volleyball coach Tina Johnson was placed on administrative leave on Friday, Nov. 18, according to Superintendent Bill Lowry. He had no other comment.
GARFIELD - Linda Gayle Converse, 69, passed away November 22, 2011 at her home.
BURDETT - Harold "Prince Hal" Patterson, 79, a former professional football player and dirt construction worker, passed away Nov. 21, 2011 in Kinsley.
OTHELLO, Wash. - Irene E. Harper, 88, died Nov. 20, 2011 at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland, Wash.

The Barton County Young Professionals group got a makeover last Friday, when over 100 men and women attended a mixer at Straub International. Although the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce & Economic Development has sponsored a Young Professionals group for some time, sponsors said the mixer was the kickoff for a revitalized group for working people between the age of 21-40.

The last time the Barton Community College softball defeated Seward County was 2009. Some 24 straight losses. Until Wednesday that is.
Finally a sweep. The Barton Community College baseball team had played six doubleheaders this season. And six times the day ended with a split.
