CIMARRON – Harry "Rudy" R. Louis, 68, died Nov. 28 at the Shepherd's Center, Cimarron. He was born Dec. 29, 1941, at Wichita, the son of Harry Edward and Madge Alberta Stone Louis. He received his Specialty Degree from UCLA. He taught school for six years in Pratt and in 1974 developed the middle school in Hugoton. He was a school administrator for 32 years, serving as high school principal in Holcomb and Cimarron, and retired in June 2002.
Sister Coletta Masterson, 90, died Nov. 29 in the Dominican Sisters' convent infirmary, Great Bend. Born Sept. 19, 1920, in Clonmel, as Magdalen Ellen Masterson, Sister Coletta was the daughter of the late Frank and Theresa Marx Masterson. She entered the Dominican Sisters' Community on Aug. 31, 1935, and pronounced her first vows Aug. 17, 1938. She celebrated 70 years of religious profession in 2008.

The Barton County Sheriff's Office is investigating a rape report. On Friday morning, a woman came to St. Rose Urgent Care and said she had been raped two days earlier. She said a man in a vehicle asked for directions then attacked her on a dirt road near the college (in the 100 block of SE 20 Ave. and NE 10 Road).
