MATC graduates

Manhattan Area Technical College held its fall commencement exercises on Dec. 9 at McCain Auditorium in Manhattan. Brent McKeeman, Manhattan Technical College Alumni, delivered the commencement address to over 70 graduates in nine programs of study. MATC awarded associate of applied science degrees, and 24 graduates received technical certificates.

Hayden 60th

Mr. and Mrs. Leo L. Hayden celebrated their 60th anniversary on Dec. 22. Leo and Bertie Lou (Siefkes) Hayden were married Dec. 22, 1951 at Peace United Church of Christ, Hudson. The couple's children are Connie Sue and husband James of Wichita and the late Denise Lee. They have a granddaughter, Megan, of Wichita.

Cook baby girl

Zachary Cook announced the birth of his baby sister, Allison Jo Cook. Born Sept. 23, she weighed 8 lbs. 6 oz. and was 20 1/2 in. long. Parents are Tim and Jo Ann Cook of Westminster, Colo.
