The groom is the son of Windy Thomas of White Hall, Md., and David and Dawn Thomas of Great Bend, and the grandson of Eleanor Miller of Great Bend and the late Harold Thomas and the late Edwin and Nora Karst.

Hazel Scheuerman celebrated her 85th birthday on Feb. 20 with a family dinner and reception at Cedar Park Place. The birthday celebration was hosted by her children, Paul and Trella Berscheidt and Cliff and Lynne Scheuerman of Great Bend and Terry and Naomi Scheuerman of Tecumseh, Okla.

The No. 1 doubles tandem of senior Alexis Langdon and junior Amanda Lessard led Larned High with a runner-up finish in the Larned Tennis Tournament. Langdon and Lessard finished with a 3-1 record at No. 1 doubles, beating teams from Hoisington, Cimarron and Lyons.
