USD 428 Board of Education will meet at 5 p.m. on Monday at the District Education Office, 201 South Patton Road. Items on the agenda include congratulations to the Great Bend High School Boys State Champion Bowling Team and recognition of the GBHS Women's Bowling team; congratulations to GBHS State Champion Wrestler and teammates; approval of the 2013-2014 school calendar; first reading of the health textbook adoption, 2013-2014 student handbooks, 2013-2014 teacher handbooks, and 2013-2014 activities and athletics handbooks;approval to purchase hardware and software and sell used computers; approval of purchase of calculators for GBHS math courses ...

USD 428, Holy Family, Central Kansas Christian Academy and HeadStart Schools

The following meals will be served March 11 through March 15. The secondary schools also have available daily: Main dish second choices, chef's salad, combo lunches and choice of vegetables and dessert. The breakfast menu is offered only to students in USD 428. Menus are subject to change without notice. Milk served with all meals. All meals as offered meet USDA nutritional guidelines.

Jennifer McGlynn has recently been promoted to a managerial position at CPI Qualified Plan Consultants, Inc. McGlynn started her career with CPI in April, 1999 as a Plan Administrator Trainee in the Plan Administrative Services (PAS) Department. In May, 2000, she was promoted to Plan Administrator. In October, 2003, she was promoted to Senior Administrator, and in February, 2006, she was promoted to Consulting Senior. In February, 2013, she was promoted to Manager.
