Cub Scout Pack 157's float in the Home for the Holidays Parade completes the parade theme "All I want for Christmas Is ..." with "My two front teeth." The parade got underway Saturday evening at Brit Spaugh Park, and continued down Main Street. Festivities continued in the courthouse square.

AMARILLO, Texas - Gladys Ruth Gardner, 80, died Nov. 28 at Bluebonnet Assisted Living in Amarillo, Texas. Born April 2, 1933, in Elbing, she was the daughter of Paul and Helen (Hawks) Binder. On June 12, 1954, she married Louis Edward Gardner in Hoisington. He died on July 19, 1995. A resident of Amarillo, Texas, since 2005, coming from Hoisington, she was a nurse technician for Clara Barton Hospital and Central Kansas Medical Center.
Barbara Wolford, an insurance agent in Great Bend's John Jaco agency for over three decades, was named the Agent of the Year Award by the Kansas Association of Insurance Agents at its annual management conference Oct. 3-4 in Overland Park.
The Pawnee Rock New Jerusalem Church, 300 Santa Fe Ave., invites the public to celebrate its 125th anniversary on Saturday, Nov. 30. The celebration starts at 4 p.m. with time for sharing and reminiscing. At 4:30 p.m. the Rev.
