The National Weather Service in Dodge City issused a winter weather advisory for Pawnee, Stafford and Hodgeman counties, Friday including the cities of Larned, Stafford, St. John, Hudson, Hanston and Jetmore. LACROSSE - The Meade at LaCrosse Class 2A football playoff game has been postponed from Friday night until 3 p.m. Saturday because of a wintry forecast. LaCrosse (11-0) and Meade (10-1) have met in the playoffs the past three years. Defending state champion Meade beat LaCrosse 34-12 last year. By mid-morning Friday, Meade has received 3 inches of snow. Hugoton reported 5 inches of snow and Seward County reported 4 inches of snow.

Opal Marie McCullough, 95, died Nov. 21, 2013, at 10 a.m., at her home in Great Bend. She was born Nov. 27, 1917, in Wilmore, the daughter of Ather and Ella Burnett. She had two brothers, Carl and Orbia Burnett, who preceded her in death. She had lived in Great Bend since November, 1961, coming from Wichita. She married Paul W. McCullough on July 16, 1939. He was a partner of the former Self-Service Drug stores and preceded her in death on Jan. 24, 1975.
