The musical "South Pacific," directed by Matthew Winning, assistant professor of theater arts, will open at 8 p.m. on Oct. 17 in Culbertson Auditorium in Spencer Hall. This family-friendly comedy, with music and lyrics by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II, will run through Oct. 19.

This year Barton County 4-H expanded their shooting sports program to include a Small Bore Rifle project. After a long summer of weekly practice's and traveling the state to compete in several qualifying matches, four Barton county youth earned the opportunity to compete in the State of Kansas 4-H Shooting Sports Fall Match.
It is safe to say over the last year almost everyone in some fashion has thought about the government, what it should or shouldn't do, and whether it can do anything well.
