Hit-and-run causes minor injury to 11-year-old girl

Police are looking for the driver of a Chevrolet Lumina that hit an 11-year-old girl on a bicycle Tuesday afternoon at Broadway and Harrison streets. Her injuries were reportedly minor.

Pawnee Heights schools compete in pop tab contest

ROZEL – Last year the Pawnee Heights High School National Honor Society had their first "pop tab" collection to raise pop tabs for a contest they had entered which benefited the Ronald McDonald House in Wichita. They raised quite a few, but this year when they were again invited to enter the state-wide contest, sponsor Lee Durler decided there really wasn't any reason to enter that contest, because in reality PHS is a very small school, but that they should still have a contest of their own, with proceeds still going to Wichita.

Hutchinson Community College honor roll

Hutchinson Community College has announced the honor rolls for the Fall 2012 semester, including grades through the end of the interterm session. 1,365 students have been honored with selection to the two honor roll listings, with 642 achieving the President's Honor Roll with a 4.0 grade point average for the semester.

(CPI) has recently passed all of the required exams to attain his QPA (Qualified Pension Administrator) designation through ASPPA (American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries). ‘Pink Out’ shirts for sale

The Great Bend High School lady Panther basketball team will once again be participating in the annual "Pink Out" event with Hays High on Friday, Feb. 22, at Hays High School.
