ODIN – Mary M. Wondra, 92, died April 12, at Great Bend Regional Medical Center. Born Oct. 12, 1922, in Odin, she was the daughter of Joseph V. and Frances M. (Tinkel) Jenisch. She graduated from Odin High School. On April 29, 1946, she married William Wondra in Odin. He died Nov. 13, 1996. A lifetime resident of the Odin and Claflin area, she was a homemaker.

CLAFLIN - Maxine L. Riemann, 93, died April 12 at Woodhaven Care Center, Ellinwood. Born March 25, 1922 at Ellinwood, she was the daughter of Carl H. and Alice Bell (Hoadley) Schmidt.

OTIS Patsy Johnene Richards, 54, died April 11 at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, Wichita. Born Aug. 19, 1960 at Hereford, Texas, she was the daughter of Herman McDonald "Johnny" and Ouida (Stayton) Wray. She married Gerald "Jerry" Richards July 13, 1991 at Hereford, Texas. She was a secretary for Stanion Wholesale Electric. Mrs. Richards was an Otis, Kansas resident since 2001, moving to Kansas in 1995.
ELLINWOOD - Leona "Lonie" (Herrman) Klein, 82, passed away April 13 at Ellinwood District Hospital, Ellinwood. Born Sept. 16, 1932 at Liebenthal, she was the daughter of Stephen and Anna (Kreutzer) Herrman.
WICHITA- It isn't often superstar Lydia Mato doesn't cross the finish line first. But it did happen Friday at Cessna Stadium in Wichita. Mato took second in the 5000m at a very competitive KT Woodman Classic on the campus of Wichita State University.
