Cold Weather Rule to end March 31

The Kansas Cold Weather Rule ends on March 31, and Kansans who are delinquent on electric and natural gas utility bills will be subject to disconnection of service. The rule, in effect Nov. 1 through March 31 each year, provides protection to residential customers who cannot fully pay winter utility bills from companies under the Kansas Corporation Commission's (KCC) jurisdiction. That protection ends Saturday.

Parnassus Club auditions

The annual Parnassus piano and voice auditions were held in the Moses Chapel at Barton County College on March 7th. Tiffany Harms of Central Christian College, McPherson, was adjudicator for both piano and voice. Piano teachers entering students were: Darlene Boley, Becky Dudrey, Karole Erikson, Debbie Lebbin, Marlene Regehr, and Lorrie Stickney. Voice students were entered by Betty Erikson and Glenna Gaunt.
