The American Eagle Club of the American State Bank & Trust Company celebrated the Christmas Season by hosting the Annual Holiday Dinner at all five locations. The Great Bend Dinner was held Dec. 15. The bank staff served the catered dinner and the Great Bend High School Madrigals provided entertainment. The dinners are open to all club members as a thank you for their loyalty and support of the bank. Larry W. Jimison, 66, died Oct. 21 at Promise Regional Medical Center in Hutchinson. Born Oct. 27, 1944 in Stafford, he was the son of Howard David and Verda Marie (Staley) Jimison. On Nov. 24, 1964, he married Sue Curtis in Ellsworth. A resident of Great Bend for 47 years, coming from Lorraine, he was the Water Superintendent for the city of Great Bend, working at the water department for 47 years.
OTIS - Darlene Kay Richards, 56, died April 9 at Hays Medical Center. Born Jan. 22, 1958, in Colorado Springs, Colo., she was the daughter of Emil and Wanda (Berry) Vsetecka. She married Ron Richards in Larned. They later divorced. A resident of Otis since 1992, coming from Larned, she was a cook for the Larned State Hospital until retirement.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Bonnie (Miller) Mink, 60, died April 9 at her home. Born on Nov. 12, 1953, in Kansas City, Mo., she was the daughter of Dwight C. Miller Jr. and Helen (Ball) Miller. She graduated from Ruskin High School in Kansas City, Mo. and attended Southwest Missouri State University, where she met her husband of 42 years, Ron Mink. They married in December 1972, in Kansas City. She was an avid music lover, loving wife, mother and grandmother.
