WASHINGTON – Total U.S. petroleum deliveries (a measure of demand) were down 2.0 percent for 2012 compared with 2011 – and were at the lowest annual level in 16 years. They also were down 2.1 percent in December against a year ago. Year over year declines were seen in all months in 2012 except for May.

MCPHERSON - Richard Henry Hinkson, 90, died Jan. 8 at McPherson Hospital. Born April 19, 1922 in Sylvan Grove, he was the son of Mildred (Murphy) and Fred S. Hinkson. He graduated from Bethany College in Lindsborg and held graduate degrees from Emporia State University, Fort Hays State University, and the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colo. He was an educator for nearly 40 years in the public schools of Kansas, 30 of which were spent in the public schools of Barton County. He was employed by the Claflin Public Schools for 11 years and by the Great Bend Public Schools ...
We are well underway with the second semester in the Ellinwood Public School district. Winter athletics are reaching the midpoint of their seasons, and academically the district is diligently preparing students for a rigorous curriculum as we transition to the new common core standards. The district also has many exciting initiatives planned for the second half of the school year.
