Kim Arlene Sewing 1956 - 2011
MACKSVILLE - Kim Arlene Sewing, 54, died Apr. 4 at the Pawnee Valley Community Hospital in Larned. Born July 19, 1956, at Coronado Island, Calif., she was the daughter of Franklin and Louise (Suiter) McCuller. She attended the Kilgore Community College in Texas. She was employed as a medical receptionist, and was a Macksville resident.
Eunice E. Harrelson 1936 - 2011
ELLINWOOD - Eunice E. Harrelson, 75, died April 5 at her home in Independence, La. She was born Feb. 24, 1936, at Tanga Pahoa, La., the daughter of Henry Devoe Spillman and Ada Belle Jenkins. She married Bobbie Glen Harrelson on Nov. 23, 1966, in New Orleans, La. He died July 13, 2010. A resident of Baptist and Independence, La., for the past 16 years, she had also lived in Valley Center, Kan., for 36 years.

The month of May has arrived and that means a frenzy of activity for families who are celebrating Mother's day today and graduations now or in the weeks ahead. I am truly blessed to have my mother-in-law, daughter, and granddaughters close by. It is a joy to spend time together at a moment's notice. MILC, SURE, and NAP will restart on May 8
The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Farm Service Agency (FSA) Administrator Juan M. Garcia announced today that farm payments, which had been temporarily suspended due to sequestration, are scheduled to resume today, May 8th. This includes payments for the 2011 Supplemental Revenue Assistance Payments Program (SURE), the Noninsured Crop Assistance Program (NAP) and the Milk Income Loss Contract Program (MILC).
