The Family Crisis Center's Shelter needed strong men to make the backyard more usable for the children residing in shelter with their moms. Little did they know that they would have Iron Men step up and take the project on, said Christy Huslig, outreach advocate.
A semitrailer driver from Pawnee Rock was among four people who received possible injuries Monday morning in Rooks County, when another semi attempted to pass as he was making a left turn on U.S. 183, three miles north of Stockton. Both drivers and their passengers were taken to the Rooks County Health Center.

It is crunch time for holiday table decorators as they plan and prepare for this weekend's Holiday Tables Spectacular at Rosewood Furniture Gallery in downtown Great Bend. Approximately 20 tables will be decorated for the come-and-go event. Holiday Tables Spectacular is slated from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10 at the Furniture Gallery, located at 1607 Main Street.
