Young Professionals help feed families

On Tuesday, members of the Barton County Young Professionals group gathered for their third annual Ugly Sweater Christmas party. While the mood was festive and light-hearted, the group was doing some serious good as well, said YP chairman Kristy Straub. Members collected a large box of items for the Barton County Food Bank, along with over $100 in cash donations.

Catholic Social Service to host series for couples interested in adoption

DODGE CITY - Throughout January and February, Catholic Social Service is hosting a four-part workshop series for couples in southwest Kansas who would like to know more about what it takes to adopt an infant. The first three workshops take place from 1:30-4:30 p.m. at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Dodge City on Jan. 11 and 25 and Feb. 8.
