DODGE CITY - Congressman Tim Huelskamp announced Monday that entries are being accepted for the 2012 Congressional Arts Competition. All high school students in the First Congressional District are encouraged to participate in this competition. The winning artwork will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year.

She graduated from high school in Magazine, Ark., and attended business college in Chillicothe, Mo. She married Carl McElhaney and started a family in Wichita. The Ellinwood Eagles Boys team won their first sub-state tournament game versus Ell-Saline on Monday with a final score of 59-37. It was a back and forth game in the first half with neither team really finding momentum. Ellinwood held just a one-point lead going into the half at 20-19. However, out of halftime the Eagles cranked up the full court pressure and exploded in the third quarter. Ellinwood won the 3rd quarter 22 to 4 and pushed out the lead for good.
