Mauler receives general ultrasound, vascular certification

HOISINGTON - Clara Barton Hospital announced that Rebecca Mauler, radiologic technologist, recently earned national credentials in ultrasound. Mauler earned credentials from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). She is a graduate of Fort Hays State University, where she earned her bachelor's degree in Radiology in 2009.

Planning for After Prom party to be held on Tuesday

The Barton County Young Professionals group got a makeover last Friday, when over 100 men and women attended a mixer at Straub International. Although the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce & Economic Development has sponsored a Young Professionals group for some time, sponsors said the mixer was the kickoff for a revitalized group for working people between the age of 21-40.

Gary Lee Campbell 1941 - 2015

Gary Lee Campbell, 73, died Jan. 22, 2015, at Great Bend Regional Hospital. Born Nov. 26, 1941, in St. Elmo, Illinois, he was the son of Emerson and Mildred Louise (Koberlein) Campbell. On April 4, 1961, he married Margaret Rose Debes in Great Bend. She died on July 31, 2013. A Great Bend resident since 1958, he worked in the oilfield and then was a fabricator for Doonan Trailer.
