Jeremy and Mandy Keil of Great Bend announce the birth of their daughter, Victoria Lenae Keil on Dec. 17 at Promise Regional Hospital in Hutchinson. She weighed 6 lbs. 15 1/2 oz. and was 19 1/2 in. long.

Rufus P. Fimple will celebrate his 90th birthday with a card shower. He was born March 3, 1921, in Bacca County Colo. After graduating from Sterling High School, he attended Kansas State University on a track scholarship, until being drafted for military service. John Carmon Ellison 1955-2013
John Carmon Ellison of Allen, Texas, 57, passed away on May 30, 2013. He was born on Sept. 3, 1955, in Fort Stewart, Ga., the son of John and Dee Ellison. On Nov. 28, 1995, John married Phyllis Taylor in Great Bend. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. John was also very proud of his police work; he started the SWAT program in Great Bend. John loved barbecue and cooking out, but most of all, he loved his family. He had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh.
