BCC's natural gas program receives gift of equipment from mentor
A generous donation of equipment to Barton Community College's Natural Gas Transmission and Distribution Program has given a substantial boost to the program and its students. Russell man injured in motorcycle pursuit
A 43-year-old Russell man was injured after wrecking a motorcycle while fleeing police at 2 a.m. Saturday. Jeffrey Carl Searles was taken to a hospital in Wichita. A Via Christi Health spokesman said he remained in critical condition Saturday afternoon. A new temporary exhibit about music is now on display at the Santa Fe Trail Center, Larned, featuring items from the museum's collection. MINNESOTT BEACH, N.C. - Judy Mershon Huber Wolfenbarger, 77, of Minnesott Beach, N.C., passed away June 4. Born in Chicago, Ill., on Nov. 4, 1935, she was the daughter of Andrew B. and Dorothy Mershon Huber. Her family moved to Mt. Carroll, Ill., in 1942. An accomplished pianist, guitar player and percussionist for Mt. Carroll High School, music was an important part of her life. Her quick wit and love of ironic humor lasted throughout her lifetime.
