The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Tom and Linda Barnes of Great Bend, Leaetta Tomlinson of Great Bend and Kenny and Sandy Kuhn of Joplin, Mo. The prospective groom is the grandson of Tim Casey and the late Barbara Casey, and Helen Klein, all of Great Bend, and the late Larry Eugene Klein.

Glen Ehrlich 85th

Glen Ehrlich will celebrate his 85th birthday with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. on Oct. 23 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 2101 Jackson Street. The event will be hosted by his children, Steve and Aleta Ehrlich, Sheryl and Emerson MacDonald, Sheila Ehrlich, Susan and Richard Bates and Scott and Caitie Ehrlich. He has eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

“Graveside Conversations” at Fort Hays State Historic Site

The Kansas Historical Society announced that Fort Hays State Historic Site will host "Graveside Conversations" at Fort Hays Cemetery on Oct. 29. Tours will be offered at 7:30, 8:30 and 9:30 p.m. Reservations must be made by calling Fort Hays at 785-625-6812 or by e-mailing the fort at thefort@kshs.org. Cost of the tour is $3 per adult and $1 per child.
