Betty June Dewey 1924 - 2013

ELLINWOOD - Betty June Dewey, 89, died on June 9 at Citizens Medical Center in Colby. Born June 8, 1924 in Radium, she was the daughter of Roy J. Fertig and Ruth Yocum Fertig. Her step-mother was Ella Freida Jost Fertig. She attended Fort Hays State University. On July 21, 1946 she married Devon W. Dewey in Radium. He died on July 31, 1999. An Ellinwood resident for the past two years, formerly of Seward, she was a farm wife, worked at Larry's Garden Center and taught elementary school in Eudora and Radium.
