Gladys Rosalie Woodrow 1919 - 2012

Gladys Rosalie Woodrow, 93, died Dec. 27 at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born Nov. 30, 1919, at Great Bend, the daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Minnie Evangaline (Mead) McMullen. She married Woodrow Wilson Woodrow on Oct. 29, 1938, in Russell. They were later divorced, but remained very close.

Jacqueline Elaine Bliss 1928 - 2012

HUTCHINSON - Jacqueline Elaine Bliss, 84, died Dec. 26 at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born Aug. 11, 1928, in Hamilton, the daughter of John Henry and Violet Georgia (Guffey) Rush. On June 23, 1945, she married Wayne A. Bliss in Inman. He died Sept. 22, 1998. She was a resident of Great Bend from 1952 until moving to Hutchinson in 1986. She was a homemaker and a foster parent for South Hutchinson Elementary School.

Updated in summer 2012, the now nine-week course provides families and individuals with practical tools to gain control of their finances and set themselves up for long-term financial success. The course meets once a week where a different lesson is taught by Dave on DVD followed by a small-group discussion. NRCS to provide $332 million to protect and restore agricultural working lands, grasslands and wetla

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is making available $332 million in financial and technical assistance through the Agricultural Conservation Easement Program (ACEP). ACEP applications may be submitted at any time to NRCS however, applications for the current funding cycle must be submitted on or before May 15, 2015.
