BELLA VISTA, Ark. - Curtis E. Lohrding, 81, died Aug. 30, at his home following several months of illness. He was born Dec. 8, 1932, in Coldwater, to Raymond and Laura Lohrding. Curtis was a graduate of Coldwater High School and received his bachelor's degree and master's degree in Science at Kansas State University, with four years ROTC and entered the Air Force as 2nd Lieutenant in July 7, 1955, where he became a jet pilot for three years. I recently published two stories about outspoken, committed socialists: one, an active member of the Industrial Workers of the World running for U.S. Senate and the other a self-described Marxist college professor leading a movement urging the federal government to regulate the Internet.
