May 4, 2007, will be a day many Kansans always remember. On that fateful day the town of Greensburg, in Kiowa County, was all but wiped off the face of the earth.
Sometime between Feb. 20 and March 11, a storage building at 900 MacArthur Road in Great Bend was burglarized. Police Chief Dean Akings reports two 3-ton York air conditioners were stolen. "The electrical cables and lines were cut, and the units were hauled off. Loss was $4,700," Akings said.

Doris was born on Oct. 21, 1927 at Fairbury, Neb. to Moses G. and Grace (Eilts) Williams. She graduated from Endicott High School at Endicott, Neb. in 1946, and was united in marriage to Robert Dale Nitzel on Feb. 9, 1947 at Endicott.
