Advanced Therapy’s Food Drive contributes to community need

Advanced Therapy and Sports Medicine topped its inaugural food drive with a check donation to the Community Food Bank of Barton County earlier this month. "The Give Back Community Food Drive," held by ATSM through the month of October, netted a full grocery cart of food for the Food Bank.

The following meals will be served Dec. 5 through Dec. 9. The secondary schools also have available daily: Main dish second choices, chef's salad, combo lunches and choice of vegetables and dessert. The breakfast menu is offered only to students in USD 428. Menus are subject to change without notice. Milk served with all meals. All meals as offered meet USDA nutritional guidelines.

USD #428 looking at computer change

The USD 428 administration and the technology committee are now looking at changing the options to allow local teachers to choose a laptop computer or a stand-alone computer and an iPad for school use.

Democrats Have a Corruption Problem

Senator Bob Menendez will soon be indicted on corruption and obstruction of justice charges stemming from his relationship with Salomon Melgen, a West Palm Beach eye doctor. Melgen thought he could get away with Medicare fraud because he gave Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid's Super PAC $700,000 and lavished Menendez with private jet flights to his luxury resort. Given the known public facts, Harry Reid should return Melgen's money to the taxpayers he stole it from and should ask Menendez to resign.

GB wrestlers finish 3rd at Sub-districts

Great Bend Kids Wrestling Club traveled to Pratt on Saturday to compete against other western Kansas teams. The kids battled all day long at the Sub-Districts tournament and finished 3rd place out of 23 teams.
