ELLINWOOD - Ellinwood District Hospital has been granted approximately $200,000 in tax credits which can be purchased for the 2011 and 2012 tax years. The tax credits will give the participant a 70 percent state tax credit, and a 100 percent federal tax deduction.
CLAFLIN - The Central Plains High School KAY organization is asking for help to warm the hearts of families in need this winter. Members are asking residents to donate new or gently used winter apparel. It may be dropped off at the local churches in Bushton, Claflin or Holyrood or to any Central Plains School Office.

This week the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the NSA's metadata collection program was not authorized in U.S. law.
