LARNED - Roger Alan Caldwell, 69, died Jan. 29 at Hays Medical Center in Hays. Born Jan. 12, 1943, in Tulsa, Okla., he was the son of Franklin Eugene and Lucille Hicks Caldwell. On Feb. 16, 1990, he married Charlotte Boris in Tallahassee, Fla. She died Jan. 12, 2008. He was an account executive for Fox 49, in Tallahassee, Fla.

Leonard C. Oborny 1937 - 2012

RUSH CENTER - Leonard C. Oborny, 74, died Jan. 29 at his home in Rush Center. Born Dec. 29, 1937, in La Crosse, he was the son of Charles and Elizabeth (Kladik) Oborny. In 1955 he graduated from La Crosse Rural High School. On Jan. 6, 1959, he married Alice R. Nordman at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Olmitz. A lifelong resident of Rush County, he was a service tire repairman for Farmer's Co-op in Rush Center.

HUTCHINSON - Richard Alan "Rick" Michael, loving husband, father, "Papa," brother and friend, went to be with his divine savior on Jan. 28 at Hospice House in Hutchinson. Born April 14, 1952, in Lyons, he was 59. On Sept. 14, 1979, he married Tonya Jean Rojas in Hutchinson. He spent many years as an oilfield driller throughout the Midwest.
