Library Book Sale opens to public Oct. 20

The 2013 Public Library Books Sale will be open to the public Oct. 20-22 in the basement meeting room of the Library located at 1400 Williams in Great Bend. Hours for the sale are: Sunday, 1-4:30 p.m.; Monday, noon to 8:30 p.m., and Tuesday, 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Prices are set at $1 for hardback books and 50 cents for paperbacks.

New wake-up fitness class offered at Activity Center

The Great Bend Recreation Commission is offering a new fitness class, "Wake Up Workout," taught by Dixie Divis. The class meets from 5:15-6 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Oct. 22 through Dec. 19, at the GBRC Activity Center, 2715 18th St.
