Hudson Community Fund close to goal

Earlier this year, Stafford County Flour Mills and the Golden Belt Community Foundation launched the "Give an Acre for Hudson" challenge as a way to build a savings account for the Hudson community. Throughout the summer and fall the agricultural community stepped forward, along with Stafford County Flour Mills matching each donation, to help raise $14,531.48 toward the overall goal of $20,000.

Wilson State Park Campsite Reservations

Wilson State Park will be taking campsite reservations for the 2011 camping season beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 3, Reservations done on January 3rd will be by a lottery drawing. Special Santa Tickets

Special Santa tickets are for sale at Landmark National Bank to benefit Blayze Bahe who was injured in a motorcycle accident on Nov 20, 2009. His left foot was amputated as a result of the accident. The Santa was created by Rochelle Van Scyoc, a friend of the family. Tickets are $1 for one or $5 for six. The drawing will be held on Dec. 20.

12th Annual Christmas Day Dinner

The 12th Annual Christmas Day Dinner will be held at St. Michaels Parish Hall, 10th and Lincoln, in LaCrosse. A traditional homemade Christmas meal will be served. Some sugar-free pie and salad will be available. Everyone is invited. The meal is free as area businesses and groups provide the financing.
