ELLINWOOD - Lorin Peter, 84, died Saturday at Ellinwood District Hospital. Survivors and arrangements will be announced by Kimple Funeral Home in Ellinwood.
SALINA -Wanda M. Schrock, 74, Salina, died Nov. 10. She was born March 13, 1937 in Great Bend to Louie and Goldie (Sloan) Burhenn. For many years, she lived in Longmont, Colo., where she married Laddie Schrock on Jan. 13, 1989. In 2004, they moved to Salina from Apache Junction, Ariz. She was a homemaker and a member of Salina Heights Christian Church.
Sandra L. "Sandi" Simmons, 67, died Nov. 11 at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born May 14, 1944 in Great Bend she was the daughter of Gerhardt LaVern and Delora Jean (McCullough) Nuss. She was married to Gary Simmons for 35 years. A lifetime resident of Great Bend, she was the owner and operator of Great Bend Floral for 38 years.
LITTLETON, Colo. - Willie Edwin Schultz, 78, died on July 7, 2011 at the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix, Ariz. surrounded by his wife, children and grandson.
LITTLETON, Colo. - Diana Marie (Dian) Walters, 60, passed away at Minnequa Medical Center in Pueblo, Colo., on Oct. 5 after being ill for a number of years. Diana was born Oct. 21,1950, in Great Bend, the daughter of Cleat and Virginia Walters. She graduated from Great Bend High School and moved to Denver in 1972.
Dorothy Lucile Brining, 93, died peacefully on Nov. 9 in her son and daughter-in-law's home in Waddington, N.Y. For the last 12 months, Don and Cher lovingly cared for her in their home where she often got to spend time with her granddaughter, Danielle and her husband, Ronnie Plumadore and share in the joy of the upcoming birth of their first child–her first great grandchild!
