The Kansas Historical Society announced it has published a new children's activity book, "Kid's Kansas". This full-color, 44-page book features stickers, pull-out famous Kansan trading cards and flags, and several pages of puzzles, activities, and Kansas stories. Kansas Walk of Honor to recognize Sen. Bob Dole

Kansas Governor Sam Brownback announced today that former U.S. Senator Bob Dole will be the first Kansan to be honored on the Kansas Walk of Honor. Sen. Dole and his wife, Elizabeth, will join Governor Brownback and the First Lady to witness the unveiling of the bronze plaque at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 30 at the southeast corner of the Statehouse south lawn. The event is open to the public.
