Ashley Fugitt joins Renue Salon and Spa

On July 1, Ashley Fugitt, nationally certified massage therapist, will join the team at Renue Salon and Spa in Great Bend. She has been practicing in Great Bend since 2005. A graduate of Heritage College in Kansas City, Mo., she specializes in Swedish, Hot Stone, Therapeutic and Deep Tissue massage. Her hours will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Fridays, with some evenings and Saturdays by appointment.

The National Biodiesel Board (NBB) recently recognized Harold Kraus, Hays, for his outstanding efforts in advancing the biodiesel industry. Kraus has served as the primary representative for the Kansas Soybean Commission (KSC) on the NBB for 12 years and is retiring from the position.

Blazers place second

The Barton Blazers took second place in the Shawnee Mission/Overland Park Premiere basketball tournament. The Blazers defeated the Reno County Elite, Beastmode, Bobcats, and CNBA. They lost in the championship game to Missouri Flight. The Blazers will be playing at home this coming weekend in the Great Bend MAYB tourney.
