Defendant gets 10 years for sex crime

WICHITA – A Kansas man who pleaded guilty to an Internet sex crime that took place while he was in the Kansas Sexual Predator Treatment Program at Larned State Hospital has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison, U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom said today.

Broadway-Harrison collision

Traffic stops after a Pontiac Bonneville SE and Ford F-150 truck collide at Broadway and Harrison, around 11:35 a.m. Tuesday. There was also a collision at the intersection Friday afternoon. The intersection was once a regular spot for traffic accidents, before the city removed part of the center island and added a left-turn lane on the east side of Broadway in 2011. Now collisions are not a regular event at Broadway and Harrison.
