Preceptor Pi Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met Feb. 22 at First Congregational United Church of Christ for a "Winter Wonderland Party" hosted by Sister Chapter Xi Delta Upsilon. The Sister Chapter served chili with various toppings and cherry crunch with ice cream for dessert. Barton Community College is using star power to help raise money for a renovation project to upgrade its 40-year-old Fine Arts Auditorium. Barton's stars are 10 community members who will compete in a dance competition this spring that will initiate a fund drive and create awareness for the renovation project.
The Sunflower Polka Club will have a free dance from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, March 6, at the Hoisington Knights of Columbus, located at Second and Main in Hoisington.
The Great Bend Public Library Friends group will meet at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 6, in the library's Kansas Room. Plans are being made for National Library Week in April and the annual book sale. Membership is $10 a year.
