HUTCHINSON - Virgie Margaret Goerl, 88, died Oct. 5, at Hospice House in Hutchinson. Born Oct. 9, 1922, in Chase, she was the daughter of John Godfried and Mary Elizabeth Hoover Dressel. Virgie was a 1940 graduate of Chase High School. She taught for two years at the Sunnyside Grade School after graduating from Chase High School. After teaching, she worked at both Dillons and Swift and Company in Lyons. On August 1, 1948, she married Vincent Kenneth Goerl in Lyons. He died Feb. 3, 2001.
MCKINNEY, TEXAS - Andrew D. Wutka, 39, died unexpectedly on Oct. 3, at the Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, Texas. He was born Sept. 16, 1972 in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., the beloved son of Anthony D. and Nancy C. (Roth) Wutka. Andrew spent his childhood in Fishkill, N.Y., Burlington, Vt., and Coral Springs, Fla. In 1990, he graduated from Taravella High School in Coral Springs. He attended the University of North Florida. In November 1992, he joined the Navy.
