USD 112 regional music results

CLAFLIN -The Central Plains Oiler music department had 24 students performing in Larned on Saturday, March 31 at the Regional Music Festival. It was a successful day with nine of 14 entries advancing to the State Music Festival. The State Music Festival is scheduled for Saturday April 28 at Kansas Wesleyan University.

Hog Feed planned at Immanuel United Church of Christ

All are invited to join in the festivities of the ninth annual Community Hog Feed at Immanuel United Church of Christ located at 7th and Fritz in Ellinwood from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, April 15. Editorials will be missed

I was surprised and saddened when I read of the passing of Tribune City Editor Chuck Smith. I will miss his editorials, especially his straightforward, tell-it-like-it-is style of writing. I agreed with most, if not all of them, and I often considered e-mailing him to let him know that I thought he was doing a good job. Unfortunately I never did, and now it's too late.
