BCC men’s track team placed on probation

In a prepared statement released from Barton Community College late Thursday evening, it revealed that in a recent National Junior College Athletic Association and Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference ruling, the men's outdoor track and field team has been placed on probation for the 2013-2014 academic year.

Shirley Faye Bobeck 1935 - 2013

BEAVER, Okla. - Shirley Faye Bobeck, 77, passed away Aug. 14, at the Beaver County Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. Born on Oct. 4, 1935, in Great Bend, she was the daughter of Howard and Genevie (Yahne) Kimber. On May 22, 1953, she graduated from Great Bend High School. On March 17, 1957, she married her high school sweetheart, Roy Lee Bobeck. She was employed for Beaver Cable TV for 20-plus years as secretary/bookkeeper.
