ALBERT - Betty Lou Goodman, 77, died Feb. 1 at Hospice House in Hutchinson. Born Feb, 11, 1934, on the family farm in Albert, she was the daughter of John and Katie (Diehl) Moore. She was a retired baker and cook for Furr's.
GREAT BEND - Richard F. Pope passed away on Feb. 1. Born Nov. 4, 1934, he was the son of Lyman and Cora (Spicer) Pope. He was a resident of Great Bend, formerly of Newark Valley, N.Y. On June 23, 1956, he married Joan D. Robinson. She survives.

HOISINGTON -The Hoisington Ministerial Association is sponsoring its first annual soup tasting event, "Taste of Hoisington".
