The Rice County Commission on Aging, working in partnership with the Rice County Historical society, is offering a half day workshop on the basics of being on a nonprofit governing board. Great Bend Middle School announces students who received the Above and Beyond Award for the second nine weeks. The students are nominated by their teachers for going above and beyond the call of duty in becoming a good citizen of GBMS. The student receives a certificate, and a pizza and pop luncheon with the administrators.
