LYONS - Gordon L. Zahradnik, 80, died Oct. 8 at Via Christi St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita. Born May 18, 1933 in Wilson, he was the son of Emil and Georgina Chrudimsky Zahradnik. He graduated from the Wilson School system and from Fort Hays State University with a master's degree in education. On June 7, 1959 he married Rae Vivian Revell at Wilson. She died on Oct. 8, 2013. A resident of Sterling and Lyons for 50 years, he was a retired teacher at Sterling College and the Wichita School District.

Annette Kruckenberg, 81, died Oct. 9 at Via Christi St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita. Born July 19, 1932 in Kiefer, Okla., she was the daughter of Otho E. and Eva (Reynolds) Chancey. On April 3, 1965, she married Robert L. Kruckenberg in Great Bend. A resident of Great Bend since 1963, coming from Lyons, she was a homemaker.

PRATT - Mark Alan Schneider, 70, died Oct. 9 at Via Christi – St. Francis in Wichita. Born June 7, 1943, in Wichita, he was the son of Arthur and Marie (Schwertfeger) Schenider. He was a farmer. On June 29, 2002, he married Virginia K. Bunch in Pratt. She survives.
