Kansas State just ruined it for other schools around the country. Following the Wildcats well-played victory over #8-ranked Kansas Monday evening, a rowdy crowd stormed the floor, while the few crowd-control officials on hand stood and watched. Storming the court is a long-standing tradition for underdog teams and their fans but Wildcat fans took it a little too far. Though K-State's President and Athletic Director quickly offered apologies on Tuesday, there will be repercussions and those ripples will reach all across the country. ​Silver Cougar Club to offer second part of Google Drive class

Kiwanis selling pancake tickets

Members of the Great Bend Kiwanis club are selling tickets to next week's Pancake Feed. The 57th annual pancake and sausage dinner will be served from 4-7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 5, at the Expo I building west of Great Bend. Tickets are $4 and will also be available at the door. Proceeds allow the Kiwanis to sponsor many of the activities for youth and needs of many individuals in the Great Bend area.

​Shafer Gallery program rescheduled

Due to the potential for winter weather, the demonstration by and reception for Joel T Dugan in the Shafer Art Gallery scheduled for Feb. 27 has been postponed until March 6. The new times for the portrait paintings demonstration are 2-4 p.m. Friday, March 6. The reception will be held from 6-8 p.m. on March 6. Dugan will be explaining the story he is telling in the cycle of narrative images and also the symbolism to be found there.
